A year of preparations, over 40 clubs and venues in Berlin, a wide range of events and a high-caliber musical line-up: On Wednesday, the Berlin Music Days 2011 will again attract tens of thousands of clubbers, musicians, label officials and promoters of the electronic music scene from around the world.
Once again Berlin's independent festival of electronic music will cover a variety of aspects regarding electronic music and its culture: In addition to Berlin's biggest club festival, in which high-profile national and international labels present their showcase nights in clubs all over town, a wide range of daytime events will deal with current economic, cultural, social, political, technical and artistic issues. This includes lectures and panel discussions (#a2n_camp), workshops and technical innovations (De: Bug Music Technology Days) a film festival (In-Edit), a fashion market, the Record Store Day, art exhibitions and happenings such as the "Unconvention Factory". Here, the "Kater Holzig" will be transformed into a studio where the entire process of the production of an album and the subsequent release will be done in public in just one day.This will include recording and mastering, cover and poster design and the development of a corresponding website with digital download.
To keep you all up to date BerMuDa has even got its own radio station this year: BLN.FM will broadcast dj-mixes, interviews and news on the day and nighttime events daily from 8 pm to midnight.
The grand finale of the Berlin Music Days 2011 will be the FLY BerMuDa festival at Berlin's legendary Tempelhof Airport on November 5th. Just like last year thousands of clubbers from all over the world will celebrate a spectacular party with the stars of the electronic music scene in three hangars.
